Blandings Park Wildlife Sanctuary is proud to welcome you to our new website for   TURTLE TREK Adventure Races.  This fundraiser will be held at Event Headquarters on Marblehead Lane in Biddeford, Maine on Saturday October 16, 2010. We are counting on your help to make TURTLE TREK 2010 a day filled with outdoor fun with something for everyone.

Blandings Park Wildlife Sanctuary is an all volunteer 501(c)3 grassroots land trust striving for a yearly event that will engage the whole community and help raise funds to support our mission of conservation, education, recreation, and research to benefit all.  You can learn much more about BPWS and our goals at www.bpws.org.  

All money raised by Turtle Trek Adventure Races will benefit BPWS, 
and two other worthy local causes:
Saco Bay Trails, another 501(c)3 land trust, www.sacobaytrails.org, 
and the new Biddeford Dog Park at Rotary Park,  
www.biddefordmaine.org and click on Dog Park on the right side. 
We are grateful to both groups for their organizational help with our Turtle Trek 2010.

The idea for TURTLE TREK Adventure Races came about because Paul Gadbois, one of our BPWS
volunteers, participates in adventure race events all over the east coast and he loves them.  He is so enthusiastic that we decided to give it a try.  Our Turtle Trek 2010 will have three events with three different ways to register so we hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy.  Each event has its own page to help you decide how you want to compete and how to register:

        The ADVENTURE Race features canoe/kayaking, running, biking, and geocaching,  
                    The CHALLENGE Race includes running, biking, and geocaching,       
         The HUNT Race will be a geocaching only in Blandings Park. 

  Here is a look at our map of venue sites. Actual routes for each event will vary
and your specific information will be included in your Event Packet that
will be available on Friday, 10/15, or on Event Day.
